you might be wondering where are the photos in my galleries...sad to say the server of weddingannouncer.com encountered a major problem...and i quote, wesley the administrator said:

I'm here to tell you what has happened.

The hard disk for weddingannouncer has failed. After a reboot of the server, the machine didn't function any more.

The webhosting guys tried to fix it, but it seems they can't access the data from the HD any more.

Then I thought, at least we have a backup. After checking it out, disaster doesn't come alone. The backup was not created correctly! Checking the logs, everything went fine until it was going to create the zip file from all the files, which didn't work because of disk or memory size problems! so instead of leaving the normal files and just deleting the zip file, the backup program deleted all copied files from the backup HD. I did not receive a notification about this so didn't know beforehand.

The text data should be backed up (as you can see the forum still works) I will try to get the websites back online and see if that database is functioning correctly as well. Unfortunately, all images/video are lost.. I am so very sorry about this!

I have been talking to a professional data recovery firm, but their prices are way too much for me, it would cost $2-$5000 (somewhere in between, they can't give a clear estimate).. Obviously that's way too much for me.

However, the guy I talked to may talk to the marketing guys of this firm who may be interested in doing it for a lower price in exchange for some marketing on this site. It's possibly a long shot but it can't hurt to try. However, even data recovery only has about 70% chance of succeeding, so that may not work out correct either. Still, I will try every possible way to get the data/images back."

i hope the problem would be fixed very soon...
